September 2004 trip to Smolensk, Russia

The Foundation's first humanitarian aid trip took place in September of 2004. We visited the Yartsevo Baby Home (approximately 50 children, ages 6 months - 4 years) and the Yartsevo Boarding School (176 children, ages 7-18), both in the Smolensk Region of Russia. Thanks to the generous contributions of our donors, we were able to purchase many coats, winter boots, gloves, hats, scarves, socks, stockings and clothing items, among other items such as toys and a t.v. We were able to purchase new winter boots for all of the children at the Yartsevo Boarding School and they were thrilled - 176 pairs of new winter boots!!! We would like to share with you some of the photos that were taken of the orphanages and the children. The Foundation hopes to return to Russia in September of 2005 to help another orphanage. Your support is greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping the children!

Thanks!
Kristi
